  • Account Information: When you sign in using Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple, we receive your name, email address, and a unique identifier. We do not receive or store your password.
  • Journal Entries: If you use the journal feature, your entries are stored securely and associated with your account.
  • Voice Data: If you use the voice journaling feature (Premium + Voice), audio is processed for transcription and is not stored after processing.
  • Usage Data: We collect anonymous usage statistics such as app opens, features used, and reading streaks to improve the experience.
  • Subscription Data: Subscription purchases are managed through Apple's App Store. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but do not process or store payment details.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the App and its features
  • To personalize your experience, including AI-powered reflections
  • To manage your account and subscription
  • To communicate important updates about the App
  • To improve the App based on anonymized usage patterns

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using industry-standard cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Journal entries are private and accessible only to you. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Firebase (Google): Authentication and data storage
  • RevenueCat: Subscription management
  • OpenAI: AI-powered reflection features (journal content may be processed; no data is retained by OpenAI)
  • Apple App Store: App distribution and in-app purchases

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Opt out of non-essential data collection
  • Export your journal entries

Children's Privacy

Dayspring is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
